How to Read QC Photos Accurately

How to Read QC Photos Accurately

Receiving QC photos is only half the battle — knowing how to read and interpret them accurately is what separates experienced buyers from beginners. When using the oopbuy spreadsheet workflow, your ability to accurately assess QC photos directly impacts the quality of items you receive.

Understanding Photo Lighting

Lighting is one of the most important factors in QC photo interpretation. Different lighting conditions can significantly affect how colors and textures appear:

Warm Lighting
Makes colors appear more yellow/orange. White items may look cream-colored.
Ask for natural light photos if colors seem off.
Cool Lighting
Makes colors appear more blue/gray. Can make items look washed out.
Compare with multiple photos if available.
Natural Light
Most accurate color representation. Best for QC review.
Request natural light photos when possible.
